Joy Journal
While learning how to cope with life's turbulence, I decided to create a journal that only contained things that brought me joy.
I had been tossing around the idea briefly; I wanted to start a Joy Journal. I envisioned it as full of photos, quotes, NFC tags directing you to music I loved when scanned, and random things I collected like a child who couldn't let things go.
One day, while visiting a cousin of mine, I mentioned my idea. She asked if she could buy the journal for me as a gift. What she eventually found for me was a lovely 8"x10" -ish leather-bound journal with handmade dyed pages of different colors.
Once I got it home, I immediately gathered all of the brick-a-brack I had planned to fill it with, put it in a box, and didn't touch it again for months. To be fair, life is chaotic, and we don't always have time for the things we wish to do.
In the last five months, I have finally had the time to begin the creative process of filling the journal. Here, you can keep apprised of my favorite additions as I add them to the journal.
