I don't want just clothes. I want clothes that I enjoy wearing, ones that fit comfortably and have a bit of something special about them.

I thrifted these jeans. They didn't fit quite how I would have liked them to, so I ripped out the seams, cut off the legs, and used some of my great-grandmother's fabric stash to add color and flowers.

As I was cutting out one of the pattern pieces, I found her handwriting "washed" on a corner of the fabric. I took a photo for posterity's sake, but I love these shorts even more because her handwriting has been sewn into one of the seams and will go with me whenever I wear these 💓
